• In an ongoing effort to clean up equestrian sport, Lord Stevens, the former Chief of the Metropolitan Police in London, England, announced recommendations last week to combat doping, and ensure the integrity of it’s Governing Body. Read more…
• The FEI also announced this week that, unless she appeals, German Dressage rider Isabell Werth, will be suspended from all competitions for six months. The punishment stems from a doping incident in which Werth’s horse Whisper, tested positive for a banned substance, at the Wiesbaden CDI in Germany at the end of May. Read more…
• The Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament takes place this Saturday, September 12th, one of the richest team show jumping events in the world. Read more…
• The Rolex Three Day Event will NOT clash with Badminton, as feared earlier this year. The organizers of both events have been able to reach an agreement on dates from next year until 2016. Read more…

• We had an exciting Burghley Weekend, and Oli Townend has captured two parts of the Rolex Grand Slam, so no doubt he’ll be over here in Lexington next spring trying to win the third leg and take home the $350,000. bonus to anyone who can win all three in a row.
