Eric Lamaze (CAN) today, 18th July 2010, won the CHIO Aachen 2010 – Rolex Grand Prix

Riding Hicktead, Lamaze won the third, and final, leg of the Rolex Grand Prix in a four horse jump-off. In 2nd place was Pius Schwizer (SUI) riding Carlina, 3rd place Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP) riding Action-Breaker  and 4th Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (GER) riding Shutterfly.

News: The FEI has announced today (1 December) that the FEI Bureau has passed a Resolution delaying implementation of the new Equine Prohibited Substances List and the accompanying Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations until 5 April 2010. This Resolution has been passed in order to allow for broader debate and consultation on the policy change approved at the recent FEI General Assembly regarding the restricted use of a small number of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

News: Again bad luck for Dutch chef d’equipe Tineke Bartels. On Sunday November 22, 2009, she fell off a youngster and fractured a vertebra in her spinal column. Initially doctors thought she had bruised it, but after more research it showed that the vertebra was broken. Read more…

Exquis World Dressage Masters, the globe’s richest line up of competitions each with 100,000 (US$149,850) in prize money has announced its 2010 schedule. A WDM Rider Ranking award of 25,000 (US$37,000) is also offered by Nürnberger Versicherungsgruppe at WDM in Munich in 2010. Munich will also be the venue for a WDM gala celebration. The 2010 schedule of confirmed competitions of the Exquis World Dressage Masters, founded by Exquis and also sponsored by Moorland Stables and Moorland Investments together with Nürnberger Versicherungsgruppe, is: * Feb. 4-6 – Palm Beach, Florida, USA, * May 13-16 – Munich, Germany and * July 29-Aug. 1, Hickstead, England.
