FTI Consulting Joins the Great Charity Challenge as Title Sponsor

Here Is Your Chance to Give Back with the Great Charity Challenge at the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – March 15, 2010 – Equestrian Sport Productions is pleased to announce that FTI will be the title sponsor of the inaugural Great Charity Challenge.

The inaugural Great Charity Challenge will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 6 p.m.

Equestrian Sport Productions CEO Mark Bellissimo stated, “We’re honored that our title sponsor of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival is also taking the lead on the Great Charity Challenge.  We thank Dennis Shaughnessy and FTI Consulting for their gracious and generous title sponsorship of our inaugural fundraising event and look forward to our partnership to aid a broad base of 24 charities during this difficult fundraising environment.”

Dennis Shaughnessy, the Chairman of the Board of FTI Consulting, said, “FTI is proud to be the title sponsor of the first annual Great Charity Challenge. With our corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, we are pleased to extend our support into this community and contribute to the success of this important fundraising effort.”

Equestrian Sport Productions is also pleased to announce that CNN’s Lou Dobbs will be the emcee of the event.

The Great Charity Challenge will feature teams sponsored by equestrian families that will each have an Olympic/world-class professional rider with two junior/amateurs riding a relay course to win a cut of the targeted $500,000 in prize money for their assigned charity. All 24 charities are based in or serve Palm Beach County, and for those riders who would like a way to be a part of the Great Charity Challenge and give back, here is your chance!

Starting this week, there will be multiple ways for anyone at the show to donate to the Great Charity Challenge. For those who do online entries for the show, a class will be available to enter, called the “Great Charity Challenge Prize Money Donation.” By signing up for this class, you can donate all of your prize money for week 9. For those who do entries in the office, there will be forms and a container in the show office where you can declare to donate your prize money. For those who want to donate during the week, forms will be available at each show ring where you can sign up to donate the prize money for the classes you win prize money in. Those forms can be turned into the show office. Absolutely any amount is welcomed for donation. Announcers at each ring will be explaining throughout the day how you can donate and help out.

Please help us add to the donations given to the worthy charities. We have already raised $400,000, and the goal is to raise an additional $100,000 in prize money donations from riders and sponsors.

“This is a very important opportunity for those who are fortunate enough to participate in the horse show to get connected to the community and give back to it,” said Bellissimo. “We want riders to have multiple opportunities to contribute. We hope that the Great Charity Challenge will be the signature event for the facility for years to come.”

The following 24 charities are paired with the team sponsor and have a world-class show jumper riding as the anchor on the relay team.
