Rock and Roll Polo Event at 2010 FTI WEF to Support the Great Charity ChallengeWellington, FL – March 12, 2010 – Ride the wave of enthusiasm for the First Annual Great Charity Challenge with a special Charity Polo Challenge match on Thursday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. International Polo Club Palm Beach and Equestrian Sport Productions team up for this special event and form a great partnership with all of the evening’s proceeds going to the Great Charity Challenge, part of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival which will be held on March 20th at 6 p.m. at the PBIEC. Mark Bellissimo, CEO of Equestrian Sport Productions states, “We are very excited about the Great Charity Challenge, and we are equally excited about the polo community’s interest and support of this event. We would like to thank John Wash and International Polo Club Palm Beach for their sponsorship on this important community effort.”
International Polo Club Palm Beach President of Club Operations John Wash adds, “International Polo Club Palm Beach feels honored to support The First Annual Great Charity Challenge, a tremendously worthy endeavor that benefits so many of those in need in our community. We look forward to an immensely successful event and partnership and thank everyone in advance for their generosity and goodwill.” Six teams with top polo players will compete in the International Arena with stars such as Nicolas Roldan, Mike Azzaro, Brandon Phillips, Kris Kampsen, John Gobin, Nick Manifold, and Tommy Biddle who will compete in 3 arena polo games (3 chukkers/game). For $20 you can enjoy a special Argentine Asado at the Tiki Hut and watch the teams compete then get ready to dance your Asado off with music from DJ James Wooster. There will be a full cash bar. Be a part of this generous outpouring where your ticket purchase contributes to reach the goal of $500,000 to be entirely donated to 24 Palm Beach County based Charities. Bring your competitive spirit to the Live Auction with fabulous items such as an Argentine Asado Dinner for 12 with celebrity chef Nacho Figueras at the White Horse Tavern Patio, $1000 gift certificate to Tackeria, Pre-Purchase Equine Exam from Palm Beach Equine, Akon Concert Tickets for Sold-out March 19th event at the Stadium, and Private Polo Lessons with 9-goal professional polo players Nicolas Roldan and Mike Azzaro.
