Olympic Medalist Joins Teen to Raise Funds for School in Haiti
(Friday, January 29, 2010 – 6:30 PM to Midnight – Wellington, FL) Funds Raised at Poker Tournament & Benefit Event to Help Complete Construction of Tipa Tipa Elementary School in Haiti Miami Beach, FL – December 15, 2009 – Liliane Stransky, the founder and President of the Step by Step Foundation, will host the inaugural “All in for Charity 2010 Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament and Charity Benefit” during the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival on Friday, January 29, 2010. Funds raised during the poker tournament and charity evening at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL will help finish the construction of the Tipa Tipa Elementary School in Lahaie, Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Event Chair Margie Engel, a US Olympic show jumping medalist, will be joined by some of the world’s leading riders, trainers, and a slew of supporters in the PBIEC arena for an evening of action-packed competition. “This event is a wonderful way to bring the equestrian community together for a very important cause – and to have a lot of fun at the same time,” said the Grand Prix veteran and 10 time AGA Rider of the Year. “I’ll be bringing my equestrian colleagues to the tables for some competition outside the show jumping arena!” The festivities will be held in the Corporate Hospitality Tent alongside the main arena at from 6:30 pm to midnight.
