AQHA Racing & HorseplayerPRO.com Weekly Top-10 PollThe American Quarter Horse Racing Journal, November 11, 2009 – Foose is on the loose in the latest AQHA Racing-HorseplayerPRO.com Weekly Top 10 Poll for 3-year-olds and older. His commanding Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1) victory shot the sophomore up to a No. 6 national ranking. The week’s other active heavyweight player, No. 4 First Moonflash, also visited the winner’s circle by taking the New Mexico Classic Cup Championship (RG1) at Zia Park. The win for First Moonflash was not enough in voters’ eyes to advance him further, as he remains behind Freaky, Inseparable and Jess You And I this week. Meanwhile, voters chose to posthumously honor LD Fire with a No. 7 ranking among the nation’s leading 2-year-olds, one week after the Ed Burke Million Futurity heroine was euthanized following a pelvic fracture. LD Fire may be replaced in future rankings, but this week takes her place in the poll behind the likes of Runnning Brook Gal, who remains the unanimous No. 1 juvenile on the strength of her All American Futurity (G1) victory. NATIONAL RANKINGS, 2-YEAR-OLDS 1. RUNNNING BROOK GAL (90) First Corona Call (10), Ragazzo (8), Favorite Cartel (8), First Prize Leesa (7), Swingin Daddyo (5), Hoist Mission (4) NATIONAL RANKINGS, 3-YEAR-OLDS & UP 1.
