Old Friends Welcomes Multiple Graded Stakes Winner Bluesthestandard

GEORGETOWN, KY — OCTOBER 2, 2009 — Multiple graded stakes winner Bluesthestandard, who ascended from the ranks of $10,000 claimers to earn more than $1 million on the racetrack, will arrive tomorrow at Old Friends’ Dream Chase Farm in Georgetown, KY where he will spend the rest of his days.

The popular son of American Standard was bred by well-known Hunter/Jumper competitor and trainer Terry Brown whose farm, Showcase LTD, is based in Canton, GA. Bluesthestandard is one of two stakes–winning race horses Brown has bred.

“He was born at my farm,” laughed Brown. “A horse like this just holds out hope for every breeder,” Brown continued. “It shows that it doesn’t take just money, it takes the heart and courage of a Thoroughbred.
