JANUARY 28, 2008 – It was a busy week as Flashpoint clients competed from Florida to Louisiana.

In Wellington, at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Hunters Lane rider Katherine Eudy, 13, captured her first ever division championship. Eudy took the TriColors in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under class aboard the Sandra Thomas-owned Executive Decision. Eudy and 8-year-old gelding were also 2nd in the National Children’s Medal.

Also adding blue ribbons to their collection were Lucie Oken, 12, who rode GG In Style to a 1st place over fences in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under, and Grace Howard, who had a 1st place in the Large Children’s Pony Hunters U/S class with her pony When in Rome.

Amateur rider Missy Luczak, meanwhile, was Reserve Champion in the Adult Amateur Hunters 35-50 on the Robin Hughes-owned Rondiamo.

This week, Flashpoint welcomes GaliCo Equine, of Potomac, MD, to its client roster. Showing at the Jacksonville National in Green Cove Springs, FL., Miss Australia, owned by Miranda Gali, earned a blue ribbon in the Small Pony Hunters for rider Ashley Foster. Foster also piloted Sophie Gali’s Legally Blonde to a 2nd place ribbon in the same division.

In Ocala, a the Pre-Circuit HITS show, Sergio Campos, of the Longwood Equestrian Center, returned to competition this week, capturing a 5th place in the $25,000 Brookledge Open Welcome aboard Rae Marie Kennedy’s Zizou and 4th place in the Level 5 Jumpers with Split Creek Farm’s Cooper.

But the exciting news from Longwood was the purchase of Campos’ Grand prix Champion Shakira do Jacare by budding Junior rider Sarah Owen of Hendersonville, N.C. Proving the match was right, Owen and the 11-year-old Brazilian-bred mare made their debut a winning one, capturing the top spot in their first class together, the Modified Junior/Amateur Jumper LV 4.

Now, Campos says, he is looking forward to showing new horses in the coming weeks at HITS “We’re saving Sun God for the bigger Grand Prixs beginning in February and will also soon begin showing the young jumpers Baloume Z and Sante,” says Campos, referring to recently acquired horses owned by Ron and Cheryl Krise’s Split Creek Farm.

Moving west to Folsom, Louisiana, Daniel Geitner (DFG Stables) dominated all but the top spot in Sunday’s January Jazz Grand Prix, taking the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place ribbons aboard – in order of finish – Camilla (the Gennin Group), Miraj (Sherry Cooke), Sympa (Mrs. Charles Bostwick), and Trading Places (Kyle Register). Earlier in the week Geitner piloted Miraj to 2nd place in the Welcome Stake and won the Level 6 Jumpers with the dazzling mare Sympa.

Congratulations to all!
